WHITBY Abbey is set to play host to a series of exciting events which will take place throughout the year.
English Heritage has released details of the events which sees pirates and Vikings descending on the town, providing fun for all the family.
First up is the infamous and very popular The Wars of the Roses to be held from 26 to 28 May.
Whitby will turn back the clock to the 15th Century when colourful encampments full of knights, soldiers, ladies and townsfolk will all be on hand to offer an authentic glimpse of medieval life.
Visitors will be able to see how mounted knights trained for battle with their tournament games and ...
