Peavey Electronics has teamed with Mississippi State University to create a national school-to-work model.
With support from the National Science Foundation, the world's largest supplier of musical amplifiers and Mississippi's largest university will develop an education prototype that brings teachers into industrial settings, allowing them to learn applications that can benefit their students.
"Teachers from around the nation will be recruited to develop courses and industry partnerships for their own communities," said Sandra Harpole, professor of physics at Mississippi State and principal investigator.
