THE FATHER of murdered Sheffield teenager Carolyn Lemm threatened to kill the Swallownest man who was found guilty of her manslaughter during dramatic scenes at Leeds Crown Court yesterday.
Adam Briggs, 20, was sentenced to nine years for the manslaughter of 16-year-old Carolyn, who was shot dead by her ex-boyfriend in a Woodsett's field.
Carolyn's former love Lee Smith shot her in the head before turning the gun on himself, but Briggs was convicted of her manslaughter on the grounds that he knew of Smith's intention.
In passing sentence, Judge Andrew Smith said he had never dealt with a case like it and could find nothing with which to compare ...
