NEW YORK--Manufacturers of casual furniture are of different minds when it comes to which retail distribution channel has the greatest potential for their products.
For some suppliers and manufacturers, the mass merchants, with their sheer volume, are best. Others prefer the specialty shops, with their higher prices.
