COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Jul. 15--In the mid-1920s, J. Douglas Berwick had a customer who was struggling to make ends meet. In lieu of payment for Berwick's services, the customer offered to design a logo for Berwick's fledging company. Berwick agreed.

The story serves as a reminder of how much times have changed in the 75 years that Berwick Electric Co. has been doing business in Colorado Springs. And with the exception of color added in the 1930s by the same bartering customer, the logo has remained unchanged.
