In the "power room'' of Cleveland marketing agency Thunder::tech stands a mythical 20-foot-long, 6-foot-wide conference table.
Uniquely designed and constructed from wood salvaged from a house on West 65th Street and metal beams from the old Tyler Elevator complex on East 36th and Superior Avenue, the shiny pine table is a well-known calling card of A Piece of Cleveland a new company known as APOC for short which takes old-growth wood, cleans it up or "upcycles'' it, and then transforms it into modern pieces of high design.
