Truth Number One: There is Too Little Delivery Supervision
Think about the sequence of the sales and distribution process: The distributor negotiates with manufacturers to get products; purchases and inventories those products, and sends out a salesperson to sell and merchandise. Then the delivery is made. Out of this whole involved process, the function most important to the retailer is delivery.
