The company that owns the tow-boat involved in the collision that closed nearly 100 miles of the Mississippi River for about a week in July has a history of problems on the waterway, according to published reports. Boats operated by DRD Towing Co. Inc., Harvey, La., have had several incidents on the Mississippi dating back to at least 2004.
