VETERAN Welsh Lib Dem Lord Roberts last night said he "remained to be convinced" by leader Nick Clegg's plans to cut taxes for low and middle income earners.
The proposals are a marked change of direction for the party and will be the key debate at its annual conference, starting today in Bournemouth.
The party insists the move would be funded through cutting back on waste and inefficiency, not by slashing frontline services.
