Abu Dhabi, Sep 12th, 2008 (WAM): The seismic network stations across the UAE detected 17 tremors in the aftershocks of the earthquake that hit the Iranian port city of Bandher Abbas Wednesday afternoon.
The Network, an affiliate of the UAE National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, had primarily detected the earthquake, the epicentre of which was the Iranian Island of Qeshm in the Arabian Gulf. The quake that measured 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred at 3:00pm yesterday.
