PARIS, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Coflexip Stena Offshore (Nasdaq: CXIPY) announced that it has been awarded a major EPIC contract from Norsk Hydro involving new riser technology.

Coflexip Stena Offshore Norway received a 80M$ order from Norsk Hydro to essentially engineer, manufacture and install 26 risers, each 800m in length, for the development of its Visund field located in water depths from 280m to 380m. Ten of the risers will have a Teta layer, the new patented technology developed by the Group's R & D department.
