NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1996--WebTV Networks, Inc. today hosted the first public demonstration of WebTV for hundreds of media and industry representatives at the Equitable Auditorium in Manhattan.
Against a backdrop depicting milestones in television history, executives from WebTV and its newly-announced consumer electronics licensees -- Sony Electronics Inc. and Philips Consumer Electronics Company -- delivered a detailed overview of WebTV's capabilities, followed by hands-on guided tours.
