TERMINAL ISLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 3, 1996--Tri-Marine Canning LLC Wednesday announced that it has accepted an offer from the Thai Union group in Thailand to join as partners in the tuna cannery recently purchased by Tri-Marine from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Accordingly, Tri-Marine Canning has changed its name to Tri-Union International LLC.
In addition, Tri-Union announced the reopening of its newly renovated tuna cannery facility. This opening reestablishes tuna and fish canning in the once-famous cannery row area of the Los Angeles Harbor. Tri-Union is now the only major tuna cannery in the United States.
