JOHNNY Irvine is one of a select group of players to have won five Steel and Sons Cup finals - yet there is a collection of medals he is even more proud of.
The emotion is evident as he unwraps a small package containing three ribboned pennants he was awarded during his time served with the Navy in the Second World War.
Now 86 years young, Johnny has spent an hour entertaining me with the story of one of the most successful careers in Northern Ireland Junior football history - but, he says, he has saved the best for last.
