You've heard of the French Paradox: the mystifying reality that despite a high-fat diet _ loads of butter, eggs and cream _ the incidence of heart disease and other chronic illnesses is low in France.
Now a study conducted by the University of Michigan School of Public Health and the Institut Scientifique et Technique de l'Alimentation in Paris might explain why: The French have far more variety in their diets than Americans _ and, perhaps just as important, they enjoy every morsel they consume.
