ALTON, Ill., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Argosy Gaming Company (NYSE: AGY) announced today that the Company was advised yesterday that on July 19, 1996 Schilling Casino Corporation d/b/a Empire Casino & Resort ("Empire") filed with the Indiana Gaming Commission ("IGC") an Application for Revocation of the Certificate of Suitability ("Certificate") granted to the Indiana Gaming Company, L.P., the ("Partnership") for a riverboat owners license for Lawrenceburg, Indiana. As previously reported by the Company, in March, 1996, Empire threatened to file such an application with the IGC.
