When Donald Ross first spotted four hundred acres of rolling farmland in southeastern Oakland County, the fhmed Scottish golf architect boldly declared, "The Lord intended this to be a golf course."
Ross turned his divine vision into the legendary South Course at Oakland Hills Country Club, one of golf's most treasured courses and the site of this year's Professional Golf Association (PGA) Championship in August.
