CLEVELAND -- The Komen Northeast Ohio Affiliate is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for 2009-2010. Grants will be made to support efforts to reduce breast cancer disparities in Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties.
Based on a community needs assessment, Komen has identified the three following funding priority areas:
* Priority 1: Address the high rates of late stage diagnosis in Mahoning, Lake and Tuscarawas counties as well as high death rates among underserved populations especially African American women in Carroll, ...
