IT'S hard to say what Campaign 2008 will be remembered for, assuming it ever ends. Lord knows it can certainly claim a number of firsts, starting with, let's see, the nomination of Sarah Palin and ending with ... the nomination of Sarah Palin. Anyone who can drive MoveOn.org and Bill Maher to such spasms of fury is okay in my book. Or as the late Dudley Moore would have said, "I say, that's a bit of all right."
But probably Campaign 2008 will go down as the one in which the bloggers shunted aside the MSM. (That's "mainstream media" for those of you who have been sensibly going along living your lives). What does this portend for the republic? The bloggers, with ...
