BALTIMORE - The Twins activated Michael Cuddyer from the disabled list Saturday, knowing he would be limited to pinch-hitting duty.
Cuddyer didn't mind. On the DL since June 30, he was thrilled just to be back.
The Twins opened a 10-run lead in Game 1 of their doubleheader with the Orioles, and Cuddyer got his first at-bat since June 27.
Pinch-hitting for Alexi Casilla, Cuddyer grounded back to the pitcher for an easy out, but a throng of Twins fans cheered him back to the dugout.
