The Severstal acquisition of Esmark has resulted in the Esmark Steel Services Group of distributors and service centers to be renamed the Northern Steel Group . Also, steelmaker Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in Wheeling, W.Va., has been renamed Severstal Wheeling .
ThyssenKrupp Steel USA will open a new sales office in Troy, Mich., to service North American buyers who will be sourcing products from the new carbon steel processing facility opens in Calvert, Ala. Bob Holt, vice president of marketing, says the new office staff will include sales, customer technical service and technical engineering personnel.
