Swiss Reinsurance Co. has named Walter Bell chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corp. Mr. Bell, who will be based in New York, had been commissioner of the Alabama Department of Insurance since 2003. He succeeds Roger Ferguson, who left Swiss Re to join TIAA-CREF.
Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Hewitt Associates Inc. has named Eric Fiedler and Yvan Legris co-presidents of its consulting business effective Oct. 1. Mr. Fiedler, who has been based in Shanghai, China, where he headed Hewitt's Asia-Pacific consulting business, will relocate to Lincolnshire.
