The anti-drunken driving program run by the State Patrol with the cooperation of numerous local law enforcement officers over the summer resulted in almost 1,000 arrests for drunken driving, state patrol officials said Thursday.
The State Patrol said the federally funded program, called "Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest," which ran from Aug. 15 to Sept. 1, resulted in 930 arrests for operating while intoxicated.
Approximately 1,718 law enforcement officers from 300 agencies from around the state participated in this year's crackdown, the State Patrol said.
