According to anba: Rice farmers in the state of Rio Grande do Sul should plant 1.087 million hectares in the next crop. According to the first survey of planting intentions, disclosed by the Rice Institute of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Irga), planted area tends to grow 2% over the last season, when the state farmed 1.068 million hectares. The survey highlights the Southern Region of the state as the one that grew the most in the sector.
