Residential, industrial sites increasing
Earlier this month, Auburn Hills planners approved site plans for the 300,000-square-foot third phase of Chrysler Corp.'s massive office development in the city, prompting City Manager Dennis McGee to wax nostalgic.
"When I first came here in 1986, there were still horses grazing out there," he said.
Today, the city's once-open pastures sustain new stock, namely light-industrial and high-technology companies. Over the past decade, the city's industrial and corporate bases have flourished, as businesses move up the I-75 corridor.
