Motivation will not be a problem.
This week, Gophers football coach Tim Brewster will be able to draw on many themes -- redemption, revenge, reward -- as his team prepares for its nonconference finale against Florida Atlantic.
First, redemption. The Gophers had an underwhelming victory over Montana State on Saturday. The good news is that the Gophers won despite missed tackles, special teams breakdowns and a wet-behind-the-ears offensive line. Nobody will go into this week's game with Florida Atlanta with too big an ego.
"It was a wake-up," cornerback Marcus Sherels said about Saturday's victory.
