Severstallat raises earnings 16% in H1

RIGA. Sept 22 (Interfax/BNS) - Severstallat, a Russian-Latvian metal processing company, increased net profit by 15.7% year-on-year to 6.067 million lati in the first half of 2008, as turnover grew 19.6% to 102.89 million lati, chief executive Alexei Gogunov told BNS.

Gogunov said profit grew with an increase in production and exports to Europe, as well as investment in the firm's development.
