CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 1996--Maxicare North Carolina Inc. has been approved as a participant in the South Carolina State Employee Health Plan, which is the largest single health insurance group in South Carolina.
This approval, which is effective Jan. 1, 1997, is for service areas where approximately 55,000 employees of the State Employee Health Plan reside.
