NAPERVILLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 1996--Vitalink Pharmacy Services, Inc. (Nasdaq:VTLK) announced today it has completed the acquisition of Medisco Pharmacies, Inc. (d/b/a Medisco Healthcare Services), in a cash transaction.
Medisco provides institutional pharmacy and infusion services and medical supplies to nursing and assisted living facilities as well as patients at home. The markets they serve are primarily Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Medisco's revenues were approximately $10 million for the twelve months ending June 30, 1996.
