23 SEPTEMBER 2008 SUVA (Pacnews) ------- University of the South Pacific Institute of Applied Science (IAS) Scientist James Comley says the endangered coral reefs are in danger of becoming extinct in the Pacific region.
There is unique kind of coral reefs found in Fiji, yet we see Island communities fishing in large scales and this could pose a danger to the coral reefs.
Fisherman they kill large scale of fish from their habitat being the marine organism. Coral reefs need marine organisms such as crustacean, algae and fish to feed them, yet these fish are being over exploited by communities.
