IMF warns of crisis arising due to high food, oil prices
Washington, Sep 24 (PTI) IMF today warned that global financial crisis must not eclipse the need to tackle rising food and oil prices, while projecting fuel prices to average USD 113 a barrel this year which would accelerate inflation in low income and emerging countries towards the end of 2008.
"It is important not to lose sight of other crisis -- the continued debilitating impact of food and fuel hikes on some of the world poorest countries," IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said here.
