Twenty members of the 599th Transportation Group were able to find out how it felt to be part of Central Command in Southwest Asia when they deployed to work at the Port of Ash Shuaiba in Kuwait from November 2007 to May 2008.
The deployment element included the commander; command sergeant major; operations officer and staff; first sergeant; logistical staff; information management specialists; and the command affairs officer, all normally headquartered with Pacific Command in Hawaii.
