Aug. 8--Strong Capital Management is putting a hold on plans for a multimillion-dollar office development in Menomonee Falls, blaming Waukesha County's proposed transportation impact fees.
The mutual fund management company said Wednesday it objected to County Executive Daniel M. Finley's proposal to charge developers a fee on new construction to help finance new roads spawned by development.
"This is ridiculous," said Bruce Behling, Strong's vice president for development. "We've decided to put everything on hold. We'll see what happens."
