HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 6, 1996--After six months of construction and a $9.5 million dollar facelift, the Holiday Inn - Houston Intercontinental Airport has just celebrated its Grand Opening.

It was the first hotel built in the Intercontinental area and, coincidentally, is also celebrating its 25th birthday.

Extensive renovations have updated the decor of the early `70s with a `90s eclectic look.
