WASHINGTON, Sept 26 Asia Pulse - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that global financial crisis must not eclipse the need to tackle rising food and oil prices, while projecting fuel prices to average US$113 a barrel this year, which would accelerate inflation in low income and emerging countries towards the end of 2008.

"It is important not to lose sight of the other crisis -- the continued debilitating impact of food and fuel hikes on some of the world poorest countries," IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said here.
