CHICAGO, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Equity REITs' performance outpaces all major indices, according to the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). With recent stock market volatility and the slowdown in return performance from the major market indices, equity REITs outperformed the S&P 500 Index, S&P Utility Index and Lehman Aggregate Bond Index on year-to-date total return measures.
