Sep. 28--Health care workers are often the first -- and sometimes the only -- point of contact for a victim of domestic violence.
Therefore, they are an important link in the community-wide effort to combat domestic violence, experts said Thursday at an educational workshop sponsored by Schuylkill Women in Crisis.
More than 100 health care professionals attended the daylong workshop in the Wall Auditorium at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
