Controller upgrade offered for HT press
Eurotherm Inc. is offering a retrofit Maco controller package for Van Dorn HT toggle-clamp injection presses, which no longer are being made.
Demag Plastics Group began phasing out the HT in late 2006, and stopped producing them, in Strongsville, Ohio, in 2007.
The HT has an installed base of about 8,000 presses in North America.
Eurotherm of Leesburg, Va., said the package is compatible with the HT operating system, but offers an upgrade to deliver more precise and consistent temperature control.
