Commercial real estate markets are in remarkably good shape. There is a healthy supply of capital and strong investor appetite for deals, especially in suburban office properties, warehouses and hotels. Retail properties are a weak spot, however, and apartments have lost some of their luster.
Real estate continues on its recovery path; investment demand remains strong, capital plentiful and many property markets are displaying a semblance of market equilibrium. Real Estate Research Corporation's (RERC) recent surveys of institutional investors support this view of a recovery but also suggest that the pace of change in real estate has slowed.
