The veteran husband and wife acting team of Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee recently filed a million-dollar lawsuit against a New York construction company and architect and claimed that the architect hired a contracting company that allegedly recruited "incompetent" workers from off the streets to restore their Mt. Vernon, NY, mansion. The workers reportedly set it on fire with blowtorches while attempting to strip paint.
Mark Wiesen, Davis and Dee's Manhattan lawyer, told JET the famed couple hired architect Frank Turner, a friend of theirs who lived in the same area, to oversee the restoration of their landmark-status mansion in Westchester County. ...
