BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Kount Inc. (http://www.kount.com/), a leading provider of fraud control for ecommerce merchants, today announced that the company has received a US patent for its proxy piercing technology. This is the second Kount technology to receive a patent. The first, announced last week, is the company's device fingerprinting technology.
Kount's proxy piercing technology determines the accurate geolocation of computers being used to initiate online transactions, providing methods for determining the true physical location of the customer's computer, even if an anonymous proxy is being used.
