NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 26, 1996--Securities Industry Daily, a daily newspaper covering developments in the clearing and settling of securities since 1989, is changing its name to Securities Industry News and moving to a weekly frequency.

The publication was purchased in May by American Banker Inc., a unit of Thomson Financial Services (TFS), from Fiduciary Communications Group Inc.
