KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 Asia Pulse - Subur Tiasa Holdings Berhad (KLSE:6904), a manufacturer and trader of plywood, sawn timber and particle boards, has recorded a 66.2 per cent drop in annual pre-tax profit due to higher cost of operations and lower average plywood selling prices.

For the twelve months ended 31 July 2008, its pre-tax profit amounted to RM29.945 million (US$8.7 million) compared with RM88.597 million in the previous corresponding period.

Revenue however increased 11 per cent to RM611.94 million from a year ago, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Sept 30.
