UDINE, Italy -- The 32nd Promosedia International Chair Exhibition here put its best fashion foot forward this year, even as the number of attendees and exhibitors apparently continued to slip.
This year's show attempted to make the connection between furniture and the latest designs in apparel. An area at the show focused on the theme, and at an offsite fashion show, guests watched models strut down a runway in attire that was sometimes colorful and sometimes odd.
Exhibitors interviewed by Furniture/Today said the early attendance was clearly down. There were also fewer exhibitors this year -- about 100 total.
