A new website has been created to publish data on the beneficiaries of Community funds. This Financial Transparency System that comes with a search engine was launched by the European Commission, on 2 October. The EU executive prides itself on giving access to its financial records' as part of its transparency initiative. But it still has a long way to go before obtaining a positive Declaration of Assurance (DAS) from the EU Court of Auditors.
