MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1996-- ADC Telecommunications, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with Nanjing Panda Electronics Company, Ltd. to form the first joint venture in China for providing hybrid fiber coax technology for telephony and data services delivery. The joint venture company, named Nanjing ADC Broadband Communications Co. Ltd., will market ADC's Homeworx(TM) platform to provide telephony and data services throughout the country. Total capitalization of the venture is $10 million (US) with ADC owning sixty percent and Panda owning forty percent.
