Russia bans food products containing Chinese powdered milk

Moscow, Oct 2 (PTI) Russia has banned all Chinese food products containing contaminated milk derivatives following cases of melamine poisoning around the world.

Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor banned the import and sale of all Chinese food products containing milk derivatives following cases of melamine poisoning in China.

"Food products containing Chinese powdered milk have been found in the Khabarovsk Region in Russia's Far East and have been taken off the shelves," the consumer rights watchdog said today.
