Byline: Sue Mitchell

Oct 02, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Only Pacific Equity Partners is left in the running for Frucor Beverages, as CCMP Capital Asia is rumoured to have lost interest. On 2 October 2008, the decision was supposedly due to the difficult economic situation in New Zealand. Frucor's owner, Danone, has applied an apparent reserve price of $A1 billion.
