SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1996--Digital Video Systems Inc. (DVS) (Nasdaq: DVID), a leading developer and manufacturer of digital video products, today announced the opening of a new office in Shanghai, China.

In addition, the company named Christopher Hu, 45, as general manager, Asia/Pacific, who will oversee all operations at the new facility. When fully staffed the office will employ 21 people.
