There are several ways to measure a boat's speed, but which is the most accurate?
There was a time not too long ago that some boat testers listed three top speeds during an evaluation. These top speeds were determined by a calibrated speedometer, a radar gun and a timed run through a measured mile. Needless to say, all three speeds were different, which failed to answer the question--How fast did it really go?
